Ceutí Town Council promotes innovative cultural activities to foster tourism

The Mayor of Ceutí, Manuel González and the Tourism Councilor, Presentación Lopez, presented the new cultural activities that the municipality of Ceutí will carry out within the framework of  the CHORD project in order to attract tourism to the town.

González, who made this announcement during the  XIX National Leisure and Tourism Fair in Torre Pacheco (Murcia),  pointed out that “it is essential to give answers to the new demands that make innovation necessary in order to adapt tourism to the new requirements of the tourist sector”.

He also underlined that CHORD project will contribute to  the promotion and internationalization of Ceutí through the implementation of pilot experiences in other countries and with the organization of a National Seminar in Ceutí in the spring of 2011, during which partners will present their conclusions. “In order to reach this objective, during 2010 and 2011 Ceutí will be a laboratory of innovative cultural experiences that will allow us to give and added value to tourism”, said González

In this line, Presentación Lopez informed about the first innovative services that Ceutí will develop, such as pilot initiativea that aim to foster the natural and cultural resources of the town: museum offer, leisure and art.
