The 3rd CHORD Steering Committee, to be held next May 7th and 8th

CHORD partners will have a new meeting within the framework of the 3^rd Steering Committee of the project, which will take place next 7^th and 8^th of May. The event will be held in the island of Chios (Greece) and will consist of a series of work meetings and study visits around the island.The meeting aims to present the results that have been achieved so far and to coordinate future actions.

 The first two working sessions of the committee will take place on Thursday the 7^th. These sessions will be complemented by a presentation of mastic cultivation in a real field, a guided tour   at the village and a study visit at Chios Mastiha Growers Association.

 On Friday the 8^th there will be several study visits at citrus juices, Nea Moni and Anavatos village.

 CHORD project, part-financed by the EU Med programme, is aimed at developing long-term strategies through interregional cooperation in order to stimulate the economy in the Mediterranean area.  These strategies are focused on promoting heritage-based initiatives and cultural events. With an overall budget of 1.6 million euros, the project started in April 2009 and will end in September 2011.
