CHORD presented in a 5-day traing course organized by EIPA in Brussels

The Director General of the Valencian Regional Office in Brussels, Juan Manuel Revuelta, presented the main actions that CHORD project is carrying out in order to stimulate the economy of the Mediterranean area. He did so during a seminar on European Agriculture and Fisheries organized by the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in the Campania Regional Office in Brussels yesterday.

Revuelta focused particularly on the main actions that CHORD project aims to tackle in the rural development field, such as promoting the use of own natural resources through the exchange of best practices and enhancing the cultural heritage of rural areas.

Revuelta pointed out the fact that the project’s leading partner is the Province of Benevento, situated in the Campania Region, and encouraged regional public and private bodies from Campania to keep taking advantage of their natural heritage as a source for economic development.

CHORD project, which has allocated a budget of 1.6 million euro from MED programme, aims to promote a sustainable tourism in the Mediterranean area though the promotion of heritage-based initiatives that increase the natural and cultural attractiveness of the Mediterranean regions.
