ENA CHIOS S.A. organized a Partener Level Local workshop

ENA Chios S.A. organized, on the 4th of December 2010, a Partner Level Local Workshop, entitled ”Contemporary Methods of Promotion and Exploitation of Cultural Heritage  through  Information  and  Communication Technology”. The Workshop was, mainly, addressed to local professionals involved in the cultural and tourism industry of the island. The Workshop was organized within the framework of the subcomponent 4.1 “IQM Workshops for cultural/creative enterprise hubs” of the 4th Component of “CHORD -Cultural Heritage Exploiting Opportunities for Rural Development” Project. The overall objective of the Partner Level Local Workshop was to inform the participants on the opportunities created, for the promotion and exploitation of cultural heritage, by the use of new technologies.

The thematic units, which were developed during the Workshop, were the following:

  1. Presentation of Project “CHORD-Cultural Heritage: Exploiting Opportunities for Rural Development”
  2. Presentation of a Study on Mapping Cultural Industry
  3.  Case studies from Projects on the exploitation of cultural heritage from the UK, France and Greece
  4.  Presentation on how to develop a Centre of Cultural Services’ Provision
  5.  Presentation of a very important Opinion of the European Economic and Social Committee on Unlocking the potential of cultural and creative industries
  6.  Cultural Heritage Poles Study of Chios Island
